100% Chardonnay (certified organic and biodynamic) grapes from vineyards in in 4 different Grand Cru villages: Avize, Oger, Cramant and Le Mesnil. Vinified in steel vats and aged for over 24 months on its on yeasts and Extra Brut with 5g/l dosage. On the nose ripe apple, brioche and a suggestion of lemon, on the palate fresh but also creamy, easy drinking at the start, got more interesting with some time, showing good depth and length. Very good Blanc de Blanc with a quality above its price level, may even profit from a few more years in the cellar. Winemaker Erick de Sousa and his family are devoted to quality, and their cultivation of older vines (50+ years), use of organic fertilizer, and rezspect for the terroir have produced exceptional wines at bargain prices since 1986.
