Rare demi-sec (sweeter) Champagne! 50% Pinot Noir, 20% Pinot Meunier and 30% Chardonnay; all estate grown and sustainably farmed. All steel. No malolactic fermentation; a minimum of SIX years of lees aging. Demi-sec dosage of 32g/L. This sweet Champagne is a style that we don’t see here often in the US, but its so delicious as an aperitif. Fruity and intense, with a fine mousse, this shows off aromas of candied fruits, baked peaches and fruitcake. Also a wonderful pairing for cake (traditionally wedding cake!) and any dessert involving pastry and fruit.Charles Ellner, the founder of this estate, released his first Champagne from the heart of Epernay in 1905. Today the house is run by his grandson Jean-Pierre Ellner,. His nephews Frederic and Arnaud Ellner manage vineyards and production.
