This wine has only been made six times since then- they only make it in the best vintages! Hand harvested, destemmed and crushed, fermented with native yeasts in stainless steel and aged for six months in steel. 12.5% alcohol. Only 165 cases made and only 5 cases imported to the United States. This is definitely a cut above your average Arneis- it’s filled with zesty, herbal-tinged citrus fruits with beautiful floral and delicate chamomile tea overtones, wrapped up in a slightly creamy texture offset by super fresh acidity. Be one of the few in the United States to try this wine!
The Fenocchio family have been farming in Barbaresco since the early 1800s. The Azienda Agricola Renato Fenocchio was founded in 1993 when owners Renato and Milva purchased a plot in the sought after Starderi Cru in Barbaresco. Since then they have been able to acquire 8 hectares across the villages of Barbaresco, Treiso and Neive. The winery is situated just at the start of the Basarin Cru in the commune of Neive.
