70% Sorbara, 30% Salamino; all organic and estate grown. Hand harvested and fermented with native yeasts in steel. Paltrinieri is the benchmark producer for Lambrusco di Sorbara, and Alberto Paltrinieri and his wife Barbara are the fourth generation of the family to make wine here. The scant 20,000 bottle production all comes from the 40 acres of Paltrinieri vineyards situated between the rivers Secchia and Panaro, a family holding for nearly a century.
94 points, Wine Enthusiast. "The nose of this stunning frizzante reveals a distinct interplay between fresh bay leaf, thyme, and crushed cherries, delicately sprinkled with rose petals. On the palate, it offers a mouthwatering mix of freshly chopped raspberries, green herbs, and a hint of white pepper, accompanied by subtle gamy notes. Versatile and delightful, it pairs wonderfully with a range of dishes, from pizza to sushi, promising to please all palates."
