2023 Kathryn Kennedy Sauvignon Blanc

100% Sauvignon Blanc from CCOF certified organic vineyards in Napa, Sonoma, Mendocino and Lake Counties, thus giving it the humble North Coast appellation. Winemaker Marty Mathis is known for his incredible Cabs, but don’t let this high quality SB slip by you- it’s always one of the top wines of the style. Full of fruit but not overly fruity, this joyous wine exemplifies spring with its creamy lemon, white flowers, stone fruit, honey and crisp apple notes, wrapped up in a round mouthfeel with plenty of zesty, refreshing acidity. No grassiness in this wine. A perfect aperitif wine but also wonderful with any type of seafood- it’s a perfect match for oysters.  Marty Mathis has been the head winemaker at this legendary local estate, founded by his mother in 1973, since he was 21.
