Looking for Burgundian-style California Chardonnay? This is one of our favorites. 100% organic Chardonnay from the Regan Vineyard in Corralitos. Handpicked and fermented with native yeast in neutral oak, then aged in 10% new French oak. The wine was sur-lie aged and stirred for 8 months to enhance mid-palate richness. Bottled unfined and unfiltered with minimal sulfur. This is super fresh, elegant juice with notes of citrus, pomelo and a briny sealine quality accented by just a hint of oak. The wine is medium bodied, with a great juxtaposition of richness and structure to its brisk acidity and long, mineral driven finish. Winemaker and vineyard manager Keegan Mayo was born in Hawai’i and raised in Santa Cruz, and produces minimal intervention, food friendly wines with a real sense of place.
