Bright, pure and elegant Greek red with a wonderful perfume of red fruits and a twist of fresh mint. Wonderfully friendly yet deceptively complex, reminiscent of a cross between Pinot Noir and Nebbiolo, made by the master of Xinomavro and superstar of Greek wine, Apostolos Thymiopoulos. Super food friendly wine as well- can go with just about anything.
The Thymiopoulos family has owned vineyards in Naoussa for several generations. Until recently, the family grew grapes and supplied wineries with their fruit. Upon graduation from The University of Athens oenology program, Apostolos Thymiopoulos returned to his family’s vineyards and began producing wine for his own label, Thymiopoulos Vineyards. Apostolos has quickly earned a reputation for being one of the most respected and talented winemakers in all of Greece. A producer to seek out – and watch!
