100% Montepulciano, farmed organically (not yet certified) from vineyards in the villages of Ari and Villamagna. The fruit is completely destemmed before 6-7 days of skin maceration in stainless steel. This wine sees no oak! Aromas of fresh-pressed cherries and blackberries meld with accents of crushed herbs and sweet tobacco in this unoaked Montepulciano. Juicy mixed berries carry the fresh palate, with supple tannins and lifted acidity keeping everything in check. Cherry skins lend grip to the feel and linger on the close. Tenuta I Fauri is located in the small town of Ari in the center of the province of Chieri, among the hills that drop down from the Maiella Mountains to the Adriatic Sea. It is now run by brother and sister Luigi and Valentina, who inherited the property from their father Domenico.
