100% Riesling from the Zillah Ranch Vineyard in Rattlesnake Hills in the western end of the Yakima Valley. Structurally similar to Alsace in style, while maintaining new world fruit. The soils (riverstone, limestone, sand and calcium) allow for a great amount of vibrancy. All done in stainless steel. 12.5% alcohol. 1,000 cases made. Winemaker Marc Gagnon makes this dry Riesling with the tiniest hint of residual sugar, just enough to keep it from being bone dry. Marc’s two previous winemaking roles were at Screaming Eagle and Bryant Family where he made five 100 point wines in his young career. Dry, light and bright, with electric acidity underpinning its underripe pineapple, white peach and pithy citrus fruit, with tons of wet stone minerality on the long finish.
