100% estate grown, organic (uncertified) and dry farmed Pinot Noir. The three acre estate vineyard was planted in 2005 and consists of Mount Eden, Dijon 777, 667, and 115 clones. Aged in one to three year old French oak for ten months. 13.4% alcohol. 421 cases made. This is an excellent example of old-school Santa Cruz Mountains Pinot, with all of its savory structure. Established in 1987, Soquel Vineyards was founded by Peter & Paul Bargetto and Jon Morgan.
93 points, Wine Enthusiast. "The nose on this bottling is quite subtle, offering flower petal, plum, wicker basket and mild leather aromas. More snappy and brisk, the palate shows raspberry, rose petal and savory meat flavors."
