100% organically farmed Monastrell (aka Mourvèdre) from 40 year old vineyards in Algueña at 2,600 feet elevation. Hand harvested, fermented with native yeasts, and aged for six months in American oak. Bottled unfined and unfiltered with zero added sulphur. 14% alcohol. 6,700 bottles made. Full bodied, aromatic and intense, with aromas of super ripe strawberry, medicinal black cherry, blackberry, spice, vanilla and oak. Soft, velvety tannins and mellow acidity make this an easy sipper and also a great red wine pairing for Asian cuisine. Sopla Levante is a new project formed by four friends and based on vineyards located in La Mata National Park in Alicante, a magical place with ancient vineyards standing just a few meters from the beach and the salt flats. The extreme weather and salinity conditions provide an incredible personality to the wines.
