A refined, yet wholly classic Sauvignon Blanc from Marlborough. Densely aromatic, with lush notes of passionfruit, tropical fruits and dried herbs. The palate is vibrant and balanced, yet dry with ripe sherbet-like acidity giving great length.
About Momo
MOMO, meaning offspring in te reo Maori, offers a first taste of Seresin Estate wines. Located in Marlborough, New Zealand, Maori referred to our region as ‘Kei puta te Wairau’ or ‘the place with the hole in the cloud’ referring to the topography of the valley. Running west to east towards the coast, we are protected by the Richmond Ranges to the north and the Wither Hills to the south. High sunshine hours, a cool growing season and low rainfall have proven to be an auspicious combination, producing vibrant wines with acidity and depth. Made with organic grapes selected from Raupo Creek vineyard and a small number of growers, MOMO wines are nurtured into the bottle with a gentle hand. The philosophy of minimal intervention is employed throughout the wine-making process resulting in vivid, youthful wines that show honest varietal character and quality. Mindfully crafted for a true expression of the fruit and land, MOMO is set to become an everyday favorite. Suitable for Vegans. Winemaker Tamra Kelly-Washington began her tenure at Seresin Estate/ Momo wines early in her career. She graduated a top scholar from Lincoln University with a degree in Viticulture and Oenology and worked harvests at Serevin/Momo. After winemaking at the Estate, she pursued winemaking at numerous properties across the globe. Tamra spent time working in the USA and Italy for 7 years, becoming Head Winemaker for a property in Sicily with secondary sites in Puglia and Tunisia. The following 10 years were spent establishing and leading winemaking operations at Yealands Estate in New Zealand.
