2022 Domaine des Amadieu Cairanne Rouge 'Garrigues'

60% Grenache, 20% Syrah, 20% Mourvèdre, all estate grown and certified organic and biodynamic. Destemmed and done simply in stainless steel, with each varietal vinified separately before blending. Bottled unfined with minimal sulphur. 830 cases made.  Pours a dark color and shows off clear nose full of fruit (ripe blackberry, plum) on a delicately mineral and spicy, peppery background. Relatively full-bodied in the mouth, with silky tannins. Beautiful freshness with fruity aromas but above all, persistent spicy notes. The Cairanne Rouge Cuvée des Garrigues is typical of the village’s round pebble-covered soil. Domaine des Amadieu is a beautiful 7-hectare property in Cairanne, a village in the Vaucluse, between the Rhône and Mont Ventoux.
