100% Pinot Noir from four parcels in Chambolle-Musigny, Brochon and Gilly-les-Citeaux. Certified organic (Ecocert, 2019) and biodynamic methods, guyot pruning. The grapes are 100% de-stemmed, 4-8 day pre-fermentation cold maceration, and aged for 12-16 months in barrels (20% new). The wine is bottled without fining with light filtration and 30-45 ppm total SO2 at bottling. Pretty and aromatic, with pink flowers, cherries, blueberries, strawberries and gentle tea leaves. Light in body but rich and complex, with a silky texture, medium acidity and an underlying cigar/earth note. Jérôme is a virtually unknown, tiny natural producer who farms 12 acres of vines and harvests every year with a group of well-trained friends. The wines are made in his tiny home winery and miniscule quantities make it to the US every year. QPR is excellent here.
