100% Pinot Noir from various vineyards (Johan, Cassin, Temperance Hill). All but one of the sourced vineyards are farmed organically. Varying techniques were used, including a portion of whole cluster in some ferments and an all whole cluster carbonic fermentation on others - aiming to diversify the styles and texture of the juice and provide more spice, nuance and nerve. Aged in French and Austrian oak for nine months before being bottled unfined and unfiltered with minimal sulfur. The aromatics are savory and bright at the same time while ethereal at the same time. A deep spicy earthy undertone in the nose of the wine features rhubarb crumble and cardamom. The palate is lithe and unique with a balance of baking spice, wild berry concentration, and mid-palate minerality. 1,802 cases made.
92 points, Wine Enthusiast. "Always one of Oregon's great Pinot Noir values, this latest "Un" packs a bit more body and tannic structure than usual. Don't worry, that signature snappy acidity hasn't gone anywhere. Look for aromas and flavors of tart raspberry, cherry, salty beach driftwwod, anise and black tea."
