100% Chardonnay from the limestone soils of the Sangreal Vineyard in Moorabool Valley, sixty miles southwest of Melbourne. Fermented with native yeasts and aged in 30% new French oak. The name Irrewarra, an Aboriginal term meaning ‘long spear throw’, is a nod to the traditional hunting and farming country found here.
96 points, Decanter. "There’s restrained power aromatically, with white peach, grapefruit, subtle nuttiness, a glimmer of quince paste, cedar and a shot of mineral drive keeping freshness. There’s underlying power to the palate, too, which is chalky and sapid. It bursts with white florals, white peach and nectarine before a pithy acid line asserts itself, carrying everything long through the palate. From the Sangreal vineyard, it is a powerful and wonderfully mineral expression. Drinking Window: 2025-2032. (10/17/23)"
