2022 Bargetto Pinot Noir

100% sustainably farmed Pinot Noir from the Regan Vineyard, a 50 acre site on a southwest facing slope in Corralitos overlooking Monterey Bay. Aged for 10 months in 24% new French oak. 13.7% alcohol. 383 cases made. This is classic SCM Pinot- light to medium bodied, with savory aromatics of lavender, clove, baking spice and rhubarb underpinning fresh cranberry, strawberry and cherry fruit. Bright acidity and smooth tannins make this ready to drink now. Bargetto has been producing wine in Soquel since 1933, but if you haven’t tried the wines lately, do yourself a favor and do so! Winemaker Keegan Mayo, of Ancora Vino favorite Assiduous Wines,  has been with Bargetto since 2017 and is now head winemaker. The wines are being taken in a new direction and are tasting so delicious and fresh, showing the full potential of the amazing Regan Vineyard.
