An organic blend of Nero d’Avola, Perricone and Nerello Mascalese from limestone and clay soils. The spends a few days on the skins, is fermented with native yeasts and aged in large neutral barrels for one year. Bottled unfined and unfiltered with very low (20ppm) sulphur additions. 13% alcohol. Light to medium bodied and extraordinarily vibrant, bursting with aromas and flavors of red fruit notes of cherry and plum, alongside earthy undertones and a hint of spice. It has soft tannins and lively acidity and is a joy to drink. Alessandro Viola is a very small producer located in the northwest corner of Sicily, south of Palermo.
