2021 Vincent Paris Cornas 'Granit 60'

100% organic Syrah. After vinifying his first two vintages with his uncle Robert Michel, a Cornas legend from whom he purchased the famed “Geynale” vineyard, Paris set out on his own. He owns eight hectares of vineyards and produces about 2,500 cases per year, of which 1,600 are Cornas. The vines for this wine are sourced from 60-100 year old vines in Sauman and Les Mazards. Predominantly whole cluster and aged in barrel. Powerful and age worthy, yet still quite graceful, combining power and finesse, with aromas of violet, cherry, blackberry and liquorice. The spices and notes of black fruit jam will delight the taste buds of discerning tasters. Very long in the mouth.
