100% sustainably grown Chardonnay, 73% from the Domaine Eden estate and 27% from the Mount Eden Estate. Fermented in barrel with native yeasts, then aged for 10 months sur-lie in all French oak. 14% alcohol. 2,163 cases made. As one would expect, this Chardonnay exhibits classic Mount Eden Burgundian style with detailed aromas and flavors of citrus fruit, anise, dill and earth. Medium bodied and complexly layered, the palate is rich yet elegant with citrus, hazelnut and savory herb flavors. It has a rich, round texture with plenty of leesy character, but it’s totally offset by the estate’s trademark acidity. Although delicious now, you can expect positive bottle development over the next five years. One of the best out there and a personal staff favorite!
