100% organically grown Pinot Blanc. Part of this wine is aged in 500-liter sandstone clay jars (amphora), as well as steel barrels and one-year oak barrels. ML is blocked and after eight months of aging the wine is racked into steel assemblage tanks for another two months and then bottled. The appeal of the sandstone clay is its rate of porosity, affecting micro-oxidation during aging. Bottled unfined and unfiltered with minimal sulphur. 150 cases made.
93 points, Wine Advocate. "The 2021 Pinot Blanc La Encantada Vineyard has layered aromas of freshly baked bread, white peach, tarragon and lemongrass. The mediun-bodied palate explodes with layer after layer of peach, herbs and floral perfume. It has a gently mouth coating texture and a long, leesy finish. It's notably pure and expressive for what can be a fairly neutral variety. 145 cases made."
