65% Merlot and 35% Cabernet Franc from 22 acres of estate vineyards. Aged in 35% new This is a sleeper value of a Bordeaux, as the estate is less than 1000’ from Petrus and directly adjoins Gazin and Evangile.  Full bodied, powerful and smooth, Smoky oak notes of clove, baking spice and vanilla meld perfectly into both earthy notes and red and dark fruits, cherries, plums and cassis.  Very dry, with grippy tannins hiding under the velvety texture. With a cellaring potential of 10 to 20 years or more, these wines develop beautifully as they age. The tannins become smoother, the aromas more complex and the finesse increases. When drunk younger, these Grand Cru wines show their strength and structure. The intense flavors and powerful tannins make them perfect for pairing with red meat, game and stews.
