Tasting Notes
Medium bodied, dark and sexy. Fresh, surprisingly complex, and fruity with spicy notes of black currant, vanilla and chocolate on a smooth structure with a smooth, balanced finish. There are defnitely some spicy oak notes here that you wouldn’t expect to find on a wine of this price. Talk about a great deal!
About Bodegas La Remediadora
Bodegas La Remediadora has a winemaking tradition going back three generations beginning with its founding in 1946 in the municipality of La Roda. There are currently more than 350 farmers working vineyards planted to Airén, Tempranillo, Macabeo, Sauvignon Blanc, Verdejo, Chardonnay, Moscatel, Tempranillo, Cabernet, Merlot, Syrah, Bobal, and Petit Verdot. La Roda lies in the heart of the plain of La Mancha, about 700 meters above sea level, with a pronounced diurnal shift. The climate is severe, with cold winters, dry and warm summers, while the rains are spread during the fall and spring. These climatic conditions, together with limestone-arcillos, permeable, fertile and shallow soils, make grape production low but of high quality.
