100% certified organic Nebbiolo from the Costa Anforiano Vineyard in Santa Vittoria d’Alba. Hand picked and fermented with native yeasts and 30% whole clusters. Short maceration and 18 months in neutral large barrel. This is a beautiful, pretty and rustic expression Nebbiolo without the fierce tannins of Barolo/Barbaresco. Cherries and dried flowers, with smooth, round tannins and great length. Sisters Monica and Daniela Tibaldi farm 20 acres of organic vineyards. They are the fourth generation to farm here but the first to make wine. The vines are an average of 30 years old, with some plots over 90 years old. The two look after each individual vine with the sole aim of producing excellent fruit, meaning there is little need for intervention in the cellar. The vineyard work is done by hand.
