Serra dei Turchi is so named for the hill on which this Nebbiolo is grown, where a group of Saracen soldiers settled in the middle ages. Full bodied, elegant, and only a baby, give this wine some air or watch it evolve over the next few decades. Incredibly muscular, powerful wine that delivers a classic profile of red cherry, straw, tobacco, licorice, cocoa, tar, dried orange peel, raspberry, spice, earth and flowers. Osvaldo Viberti is a young wine producer who has been running his family farm since 1993 with the initial guidance of his father, help of his wife Carla and their two children, Anna & Paolo. The family farm was passed down from grandparents Assunta and Tistin. The farm, once again is not a large one, with about 10 estate hectares planted with vineyards and cultivating, Barbera, Nebbiolo, Dolcetto, and Nascetta.
