2019 Nikolaihof Gewürztraminer ‘Semicolon’

100% certified biodynamic Gewürztraminer from Nikolaihof’s estate vineyards, one of the oldest wineries in Austria and a leader in biodynamics since 1978. Semicolon is a project focused on natural wines from Niki Saahs of Nikolaihof and his partner Katharina Salzgeber. Sees extended skin contact, spontaneous fermentation, aging in neutral wood without fining, stabilization, filtration or addition of sulfur during the winemaking process or at bottling.- totally natural and Ø/Ø! 11.5% alcohol.  Incredible, complex nose of honey, elderflower, lychee, honeysuckle, gun smoke, lime and grapefruit. Bone dry, with high acidity and fine, grippy tannins giving the wine an adventurous texture.
