100% organic Pinot Noir from Huia’s Rapaura vineyard and the Rose Family’s Kennedy vineyard. Hand harvested, whole cluster pressed, with the base wine undergoing full malolactic fermentation before 14 months of lees aging in neutral French oak. Secondary fermentation in bottle in the Champagne method, where it aged on the lees for another 20 months. Hand riddled and disgorged in 2021. Huia (pronounced “Hoo-Yah!”) is known for the sparkling wines. Excellent quality on this delicate and elegant sparkler, with a nose of fresh red berries and flowers, freshly baked bread, bright lime citrus notes and fine minerality. Energetic bubbles make this a very refreshinga nd crisp drink as an aperitif or alongside all kinds of fish dishes.
