Fermented in new 500L demi-muids while they stand up. Then the wine is racked, the barrels are put on their sides and the ends put in, after which the wine is re-introduced, undergoes malolactic fermentation and ages for 30-36 months. 500 cases made. This is an immense, full bodied and intense wine with succulent, spicy plum and prune fruit, wrapped in round tannins and long with its iron-infused terroir. Concentrated flavors of cassis, dark plum, dark chocolate and French roast. Dense yet well-balanced, with a powerfully tannic finish of cocoa, spice and savory herbal notes. Decant or age.
