The estate was founded over a century ago when the Zorzettig family acquired the Tenuta Casali Pasch estate recognizing it as the ideal location to grow Tocai Friulano – now called Friulano. Now, under the guidance of Annalisa, a dynamic, passionate and tireless visionary and matriarch, the winery has been on an upward trajectory over the past several years. Annalisa has managed the upgrading of the vineyards, the winery and the winemaking team in her efforts to make the best possible wines from her prime vineyards, to honor her family and the region.
“Friuli and its people share a strong belief in values such as tradition and history whose many strong challenges – Friuli is a border region – have forged the identity of Friulan people. Agriculture and viticulture are key activities in Friuli, and native grapes represent some of these shared values. Indigenous grapes are therefore perceived as being the past, present, and future of local viticulture, rooted in the social fabric as a family house foundation.”
