100% sustainable Cabernet Sauvignon from this small estate located on Napa Valley’s remote eastern slopes. Aged 23 months in 85% new French oak. 14.6% alcohol. Small capacity fermentation tank s, carefully timed pump-overs and punch-downs, a mix of native and cultured yeasts, the finest French cooperage and extended aging result in a wine noted for its deep flavor and velvety tannins. In the glass the wine displays a nearly opaque purple-ruby hue. On the nose, there are aromas of black currant, blackberry cassis anise, sweet and sour plum with a hint of black and red licorice. The palate opens with ripe plum, graham and brown sugar with blackberries and white pepper notes. The wine is balanced with soft tannins and a med long finish. Age for 7-12 years.
