100% Agiorgitiko. Nemea’s main red grape variety, was named after the village of Agios Georgios (St. George) in today’s municipality of Nemea. Agiorgitiko is the most planted black variety in Greece, a versatile grape that can produce a wide range of wines from a lighter, fruity style for early drinking to a more complex, full-bodied age worthy style.
Bright, deep garnet, with intense viscosity. Ripe red fruit on the nose illustrates the character of an age-worthy Agiorgitiko. Complex aromas of spices and herbs, come from the long time spent in barrique, as well as in the bottle. Dense and round on the palate. Velvety and graceful tannins, rich alcohol with noted acidity that provides balance. A long finish, full of volume and flavors of chocolate, marmalade, toasted bread, and cinnamon.
