93 points, Vinous Media. "The 2015 Barbaresco Montefico Vigna Bric Mentina is powerful, but not austere as it can be. Readers will find an earthy, savory Barbaresco with tons of old-school tannin and plenty of personality. The warm vintage has made the Montefico a bit more friendly in the early going than is typically the case. Rose petal, lavender and chalk notes all develop with time. Beams of Montefico tannin give the wine its energy and overall shape."
95 points, Wine Enthusiast. "Aromas of violet and prune emerge from the glass along with new leather and forest floor. The full-bodied palate is still young but already offers cherry marinated in spirits, baked plum, vanilla, game and licorice set against a backbone of noble tannins and fresh acidity."
